Speaking of violets, I should probably tell you that they're pretty much my favorite flower. So much so, that I put them on my business card way back when. I originally meant to have this card letterpressed, but never got around to it. It was created by Ellen, a graphic designer who used to live here in Portland. We were both proud as could be when it got featured in the "Calling Cards" section of Victoria magazine back in June, 2002. I'd probably do something a bit different now, but I'm hanging onto this last card for good memories sake:)
Violets were also the favorite flower of Claude Debussy, one of my favorite composers ever...

I also love violets, especially because they don't really smell like flowers, instead they smell like candy.
