Here are a few pictures of the party (there aren't really any of the pool!). The house is a huge brick colonial with formal boxwood gardens and the architecture around the pool is also very formal and classic so I convinced the client to spend more money on Chivari chairs instead of on big centerpieces. They really suited the landscape and architecture. Plus, I didn't want to distract from the pretty gardens with big centerpieces. We had some custom napkins made to add a pop of color and a homey touch to the rental linens. She bought lots of pretty striped pillows and bolsters from Pottery Barn for the pool area. The whole thing was orange, hot pink and aqua. The tables were set between a huge allee of trees in the center of the property.

Chelsea, I love those napkins! Where did you get them custom made?

It was a pretty good deal. I bought the fabric and a local event rental/production company cut and serged the edges to make napkins. They charged $1 per napkin. With the cost of labor, the cost of fabric, and the time I charged the client for researching and coordinating the ended up being around $3 each and she gets to keep them for future parties. It added a nice touch so everything didn't look so cookie cutter with the rentals and it also added color without adding gobs of flowers. :)
