new things + happy weekend!

I generally don't buy things. Blogging helps me purge all of my materialistic tendencies. However this week, I've purchased quite a bit including this Eliza Gran bag and a Tamara Shopsin planner. I adore them. It's been a pretty frustrating week and it won't be over for a few more days. I'll be honest, sometimes a little retail therapy can make you feel happy! Hope you all have a great weekend!

  1. I agree. Especially if it’s done the right way… like the difference between rewarding yourself to a nice meal and pigging out on comfort food. It’s not emotional spending then… it’s just recognizing that you deserve a wee treat! And you absolutely do!

Have a great weekend Chelsea & thanks for your lovely comment!

  2. your blog is the best!!
oh and i have that planner and absolutely LOVE it. i use it as a personal journal and it’s so much fun to read what i was obsessing about a year ago ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. i’ve been overdoing the retail therapy lately (not buying anything big, just small dumb stuff). i agree it does make you feel better in small amounts though, especially when you get something special (like that planner) ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. I love that planner. I can not find my diary anywhere…but I’m not giving in and buying a new one yet! I think little treats are perfectly justifiable. In fact, I may give myself a $25 a month Etsy budget.

  5. Oh, my, you’ve summed it up nicely about blogging purging the materialistic tendency. I hadn’t thought of it that way but you’re right on the button with that observation!

    Happy week’s end,
    Tina
