Kate over at The Goodie Life asked to see a photo of my nightstand for her series. I am kind of cringing at those dirty windows (It's embarrassing to show these things on the Internet!). If you care to, you can take a look at the post here. Thanks, Kate! I love your blog, especially the bio which I can wholeheartedly relate to, minus the baking bit!
P.S. My current read, pictured on my night stand is This Common Ground: Seasons on an Organic Farm.

Oh wow, I want to crawl inside this photo right now, Chelsea!!

Your bed area is lovely. I had to turn down Kate's request b/c I don't even have a nightstand. Believe me waaay more embarrassing stuff happening at my house.

What a bright and airy room you have! It must be heavenly to read in bed with the sun shining in...

Amy Jo: Thanks! The rest of the house doesn't look so grand right now. I have my studio at home (aka my living room) so it gets messy a lot. Hopefully soon I'll have some pretty pics to show you of my house:)
Thanks for the comments everyone!

Great book... I read it a few years ago, and highly recommend.

I like how much light you have in that spot! The dirty windows make it look "real" and not a staged shoot. I have about a zillion magazines in my to-be-read pile on and under my nightstand. You're inspiring me to purge them.

The dirtier the window, the better the light :)

Ah! Nightstand dilemma solved!!! You are brilliant!
P.S. - Windows look great, like the light is coming thru :)

This is NOTHING to be embarrassed about! I love it. Simple and charming, and that fedora adds a splash of pizazz. :)

I love your nightstand! So cute. A friend once used an old stool for a noghtstand which I liked as well.

Neat night stand! Your bed area is so bright and calming, I love it.
I use an old stool as a night stand and stack up books in the inside of it, it reminds me of yours!

I have to agree with dottie's comment above...makes for soft diffused light...and of course your room looks terrific!

What a charming & delightful space! I use my chair as a nightstand on one side of my bed & on the other side of my bed I use a vintage school desk {remember those!} as a nightstand.

It's so reassuring to see other people have dirty windows too. Sometimes wehen browsing all those amazing photo's on blogs you get the feeling everyone is organised, stylish en in control and you are the only one who is not ;-)
Beautiful photo!

I just thought that the window was showing the blazing sunlight and streaking with ultraviolet ferocity. Really cool idea for night stand. Love the floors, window and moldings.

So pretty and bright. I love the hat and the flowers. I didn't notice any dirty windows at all. :)
