Frolic! reader, Alison, told me about her wedding ages ago and I am so happy to share the lovely photos today. The wedding was a family effort which makes all the details even sweeter. Alison's mom made the ring pillow from blue ticking and then filled it with pine needles.
Alison and Sasha were married at this tiny little church in the woods. They drove away in a 1964 Impala!
The couple celebrated with family and friends at a private home reception with dinner. Chairs were gathered by family from grange halls all over Maine, flowers were clipped from Alison's step-mother's garden, and napkins for the tables were handmade by her mother and step-mother.
After the reception, the group headed to a local grange hall for cake and dancing. All the music was performed by Alison's father, Michael Cooney, a professional folk musician.
Bride's dress: Alice Temperley.
