Have a beautiful weekend Chelsea!

Oh, this looks like fun. Makes me wonder why on earth we don't do this in the US...

What a charming market. Wish all Christmas Shopping was this picturesque!

Lovin' it! Here in Vienna, there are also very charming Christmas markets... if you're interested, we've posted about them:

Cheers!

I dated a German guy for years and spent the holidays in Germany many times. I don't miss him, but I totally miss the xmas markets! I keep trying to convince K that we should move there! Or....Paris....

Oh, Ive been wanting to visit them for years. They sound so magical.
Vancouver has a "German style" Christmas market this year. I havent checked it out yet though.
I doubt it's anything like the real thing.

I just returned from a half year abroad and was only able to catch a Christmas market in London before I had to return to the States, totally different from these but still very cute. I wish more Americans embraced the market idea over the strip mall one. That being said I have been to some cute markets/fairs in the USA too. We shouldn't sell ourselves too short.

THese images are beautiful! They made me very happy!

Oh how wonderful!! I just love Gamla Stan, and it must be beautiful at Christmas!

I loooove these visuals! Stumbling upon scenes like this, or ice skating picnics:)... these are my favorite things about the holidays!

I love Christmas markets... these photos are lovely!

How fun would that be to visit. I really enjoyed your flickr favorites - thanks for passing them along.

When I lived in Chicago, we went each year to the Christkindlmarkt in Daley Plaza. There were wonderful little booths filled with wares, and we'd eat potato pancakes with hot drinks, and stop by the giant Christmas tree. It's really nice.

Aw, such good memories of the Christmas market in Brussels. My brother and I went ice skating in the square among all the twinkling lights - so lovely!
P.S. Just discovered the best x-mas album: "The Cherry Tree" by the Anonymous 4. It's full of medieval English carols. Awesome.

i went to a christmas market in switzerland and it was beyond words. the people were so nice and the goods were incredible. i've never seen anything like it around here.

My first Christmas Market experience was in Zurich a few years ago and I fell in love. Since then, they've opened one in Union Square Park here in NYC!

I thought of Frolic when I went to Amsterdam. I saw lots of wreaths, fresh flowers, and wore gingham!
