these photos are so beautiful. my friends just went on a hot air balloon ride and after hearing about their experience now i really want to do it.

I have! We were christened with champagne and got royal titles and all afterwards :D
it was amazing though. i didn't speak the whole time we were up in the air. just taking it all in. would love to do it again!

I went to this festival last weekend, too! I really want to go to the balloon festival in Albuquerque, NM! And I reallyyy want to go on a balloon ride someday :)

Do it! It's so much fun and a really great way to see your city in a different light. I've done it twice now, and loved every second.

how funny! i think i was at this same festival! i posted some photos of them too. i went up in one when i was little. it was scary but fun! i would like to go again...as grown up!

I gave my husband a hot air balloon ride as a gift for our wedding. We still haven't done it, but it's on my list for 2011. I'm thinking in the fall, when the leaves are changing, it would be gorgeous. And hopefully by then, I'll have my DSLR and can take beautiful pictures! My camera now is better than a point and shoot, but not as great as a DSLR. And I want to make sure I can document this once in a lifetime opportunity well.

I went on one a year ago... while on my honeymoon in England (it was my wedding gift from my hubby). It was AMAZING! Ever since I've wanted to go on another ride... The calmness of it, the amazing views... the being so close to the ground, yet so far. I documented the entire thing in photos (http://www.flickr.com/photos/mango_sparrow/sets/72157624291999246/). The landing is kind of the opposite of the flight, but still soooo much fun! For the past few years I have taken photos at a hot air balloon race at my state's state fair... which started my want to go for a ride... I'm so glad I did and I cannot wait to do it again!

Riding in a hot air balloon is like floating on air...it just doesn't seem real! It's such a free & amazing feeling. These pictures are so gorgeous, thanks for sharing!

Never taken a hot air balloon ride but went to the Balloon Fiesta in New Mexico two years ago. It was such a happy event.
