I spent about two weeks total in Berlin and still feel like I only scratched the surface of this city. Berlin is wild, gritty and incredibly intriguing. I spent most of my time in Kreuzberg so that's where a lot of these places are. This is not meant to be comprehensive, if you have a favorite, add it in the comments!
Modulor This is a four-story art store/creative space. If you work on any sort of art/creative projects you will LOVE this place. It's so inspiring! In addition to the store there are also studio spaces, workshops, a bookstore, and a great little cafe.
Prinzessinnengarten Right across from Modulor, is this urban community garden with a cafe. They have events here and the cafe is in a little grove of trees. It's totally wild and crazy but I love it. It's so cool to see how a bunch of people came together to create this green space in a crumbling corner of the city.
Türkischer Markt This market is so awesome! It was one of my very favorite parts of my trip. You'll find fresh vegetables, amazing Turkish nuts, fruit, bread, desserts, and other food, in addition to fabrics and other products. Grab some food then head to the river park, closeby and eat lunch with the swans!

I thought it would be fun to share a little guide to Spreewald, Germany, where I lived for a month this summer. It's not meant to be all inclusive, but rather a list of my favorite activities and sites. If you find yourself in the Berlin area, I definitley recommend a trip out to Spreewald. It's about an hour from Berlin by train. Spreewald is a biosphere reserve known for it's cucumber farms, canals, and forests.
-Eat cucumber ice cream with a scoop of linseed oil/yogurt ice cream in Burg. There's only one eis place that carries this flavor, it's on the main drag across from a church and next to a bakery. It's the yummiest ice cream!
-Spreewald Therme I am not usually into spas but this beautiful spa features indoor and outdoor saltwater pools which are so fun to float in!
-Check out the white storks! You'll see little towers with large nests for beautiful white storks everywhere you go! We don't have these birds in the US so you'll be totally charmed by these elegant birds.

I am always thrilled to talk about homegrown Oregon companies! Today I am sharing a few of my favorite bags from the new fall collection at Ellington Handbags. Based in Oregon since the '80's, Ellington is well known for creating bags that are beautiful, functional and efficient. I've been a fan for a while. Each bag is thoughtfully designed for everyday use. There's a spot for your keys, little pockets to keep small items in, and light-colored lining so you can find things easily. I am loving the Eva Satchel, above.
This black tote is large anough to fit a laptop, and has pockets to keep everything organized. My friend owns this bag and raves about it.
I love this crossbody purse, above which also comes in grey, yellow and black.
