  1. I just watched Love Actually! It always puts me in a cheery holiday mood. And last night, my boyfriend and I watched It’s A Wonderful Life, which is always wonderful 🙂

  2. Love Actually is my favorite, favorite holiday movie and I just watched it with my nieces at Thanksgiving. It has some of my favorite movie lines:

    “But I hate Uncle Jamie”
“And he’s got a big knob”
    “He’s going to murder Aurelia”
    “and I’m the lobster”

And I love the scene where the little girls dance while Hugh Grant and his body guard since Good King Wenceslaus.

My goodness, I’m like a guy repeating movie quotes when it comes to Love Actually!

  3. Love Actually is close to the top of my list as well.

I can’t miss the classic: A Christmas Story or the new classic: Elf! Totally forgot about Little Women…it has been a while and I really do love that one too.

Just saw Polar Express all the way through. Finally got over the creepiness of the animation and turns out it is a really. good. movie.

  4. I really like The Holiday, does that count? And Bridget Jones Diary (which has a very similar cast) always makes me smile esp when I’m looking for the perfect holiday “jumper” for my boyfriend. too funny!

  5. I have a few:

    -White Christmas
    -Holiday Inn
    -Elf
    And my all-time favorite!
    -National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

  6. Oh my gosh, Love Actually is the best romantic comedy I’ve seen in so long!

I saw this on a date with my fiance who proposed to me with a gorgeous diamond engagement ring from http://www.idonowidont.com after the movie was over and now we watch it on our anniversary!

Plus who could forget how cute Rodrigo was in that!

  7. Elf
    White Christmas
    The Holiday
    Family Stone
    Muppet Christmas Carol
plus…I can’t help but watch old Christmas Looney Tunes episodes that my aunt taped for us non-cable-people. Love it!

  8. Love Actually is one of my favorites also.

Then I also like to watch:
    -Muppets Christmas Carol
    -Nightmare before Christmas
    -A Christmas Story
    -Christmas Carol starring Albert Finney

  9. Love Actually is MY favorite TOO!!! I also like the Holiday-mostly because of Jude Law and his british children in that movie 😀 Also, the Santa Clause and The Grinch with Jim Carrey 🙂 Just gets me all excited thinking about it

  10. well everyone else pretty much said it, but I’m such a sucker for Love Actually…. oh I could watch it over and over. my girlfriends and I in college would scene select certain places in the movie and watch little snippets all the time. *sigh* I don’t get to watch it too much anymore living with a BOY. 🙂

  11. I like to watch this oldie but goodie called “Christmas in Connecticut” every year. And “While You Were Sleeping” hasn’t gotten stale for me yet. My sister watches “The Snowman” every year. There’s another animation done with colored pencil called “Father Christmas” about the modern day trials of a very British Father Christmas that I’ve only seen a couple of times but it was cute. I like “White Christmas” and “Meet Me in St. Louis,” too, and I am an absolute sucker for Hugh Grant 🙂

  12. favorite.favorite.favorite.

love every single character. the best part is that ::honey:: likes it, too! not just for chicks!

  13. White Christmas and It’s a Wonderful Life. and MIracle on 34th Street.

It’s really not Christmas ’til I’ve seen all three of these, plus The Grinch and Emmett Otter’s Jug Band Christmas.

  14. Adore Love Actually. I’ve never seen Meet Me in St. Louis…can’t wait. And I’m not sure if it’s really a holiday movie, but for some reason I always watch You’ve Got Mail over the holidays.

  15. oh, i LOVE love actually!

my roommate and i finished decorating our place monday night with Christmas goods but she’s not really into love actually, (for some crazy reason!) so i made the bf watch it with me instead, haha…since i was in the ultimate christmas mood, it is a good one! i like home alone too. 😉

  16. I have yet to watch Love Actually. After seeing your post, I have a feeling I’ll rent it this weekend. My favorites would have to be Christmas Vacation, The Night They Saved Christmas (movie with Jacklyn Smith from the early 80’s) and The Holiday.

  17. The first time I watched Love Actually I wasn’t paying attention and wasn’t a huge fan. Now I absolutely love it, watch it mroe often than any other movie I own. Fantastic movie. I get goose bumps just thinking about it.

Christmas Vacation and a Christmas Story have always been favorites (although years of TNT Christmas Story marathons have sort of taken the shine off) and you can’t beat Miracle on 34th Street.
